Tucker Signs Letter Of Intent

Sophomore softball player Brittany Tucker has signed a letter of intent to play for Texas A & M University - Corpus Christi next year. Tucker was an NJCAA All-American catcher for the Roughriders last season leading YC to a Region I title and a trip to the NJCAA World Series. The Tucson native hit .418 a year ago and had a whopping .753 slugging percentage. Yavapai College Fall Softball Camp

GRADES 1-6 – FUNDAMENTAL CAMP

This camp is for grades 1-6 and will cover fundamentals for softball success such as fielding, hitting, throwing, bunting and base running. It will be held at Bill Vallely softball complex on Sunday, October 5 from 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM

GRADES 7-12 – SKILLS CAMP

More Honors For YC Softball

This past week, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced the NJCAA Division I All-American teams. Yavapai College placed five players on the squads. Kacie Smith and Caitlin Stangl garnered First Team honors while Jenna Rodriguez, Brittany Tucker and Shaunte Duarte were named to the Second Team.
