Louis Barraza, 6’5 Guard from Phoenix, AZ, has signed a Letter of Intent to play at University of Albany in Albany, New York. Albany was 15-15 this past season and lost in the Quarter Finals of the American East Tourney. They have won the American East Conference 2 of the last 3 years and appeared in the NCAA Tournament both of those seasons. While at Yavapai, Barraza was named the 2007-08 ACCAC Freshman of the Year. Two Yavapai College Men’s basketball players have signed National Letter’s of Intent to play at 4-year Universites for the 2008-09 basketball season.

Tom Whitehead, 6’7 Guard/Forward from St. George, UT, has signed a Letter of Intent to play at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Creighton was 22-11 this past season and lost in the Second Round of the National Invitational Tournament (NIT) to the University of Florida.
