Roughrider Basketball Drops Conference Opener

The Roughrider basketball team dropped their conference opener to #15 ranked Arizona Western College in the Storm Center tonight, 83-65. YC falls to 3-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

Yavapai was led in scoring by Jordan Daisy with 20 points followed by Adam Arciniega with 15. Matt Coakley chipped in 10.

The Roughriders travel to Ephraim, Utah this weekend to play in the Snow College Invitational. YC opens up with the 2007-08 NJCAA runners-up and #14 ranked Salt Lake...

Roughriders Subdue Southwest Academy

The Roughrider men’s basketball team shot 48% from the field tonight to get their third victory of the year 79-70 over Southwest Academy in the final game of the Mid-November Madness Classic at the Storm Center.

Freshman Adam Arciniega had a monster night scoring 24 points and grabbing 8 caroms. For the second consecutive night, Mychal Martinez scored in double figures with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Matt Coakley ran the show with 14 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds. Dan...

Men Hoopsters Whip Luke

The Roughrider basketball team cruised to a victory in the opening game of the Mid-November Madness Classic Friday against Luke AFB, 85-65.

Andrew Fulbright had the hot hand scoring 19 points on five of nine shooting from the field. Jaron Kirk and Adam Arciniega both had 14 points and 6 rebounds a piece. Justin McCullough scored a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds and Mychal Martinez chipped in 10 points to go along with 6 rebounds.
