Summer 2008 Mile High Baseball SchoolSign-ups are open for online or by phone/mail today! The Mile High Baseball School Day Camp - June 2-5, 2008 (ages 5-12) and Overnight Camp - July 27-31, 2008 (ages 10-18) will include instruction on hitting, pitching, fielding, and base running. Specialty areas will include speed, strength, conditioning, vision and mental skills. Download the Baseball School Day Camp brochure for ages 5-12 (June 2-5, 2008) There will be a division of age groups throughout the program. Camp capacity is limited to 150 campers. You will learn skills from a new perspective with a fresh, dynamic approach to teaching baseball. You will receive quality instruction in baseball skill and technical work, tactics, strategy, and games. Roughrider Assistant Heads To UtahRoughrider baseball assistant coach Mike Crawford has accepted the same position at the University of Utah. A Roughrider as a player from 1996-98, Crawford joins the Utes’ staff headed by Bill Kinnenberg. Crawford joined head coach Sky Smeltzer’s staff in 2006 and helped lead the Riders to an NJCAA World Series berth.

Roughrider Baseball Players DraftedFive Roughrider baseball players were drafted in the recent Major League Baseball (MLB) amateur draft. Two of the five were members of this past year's squad and one will begin his YC career in the fall. The other two played on the 2006-07 team that advanced to the 2007 NJCAA World Series and finished as national runners-up.
