The Mile High Baseball School Day Camp - June 1-4, 2009 (ages 5-12) and Overnight Camp - July 26-30, 2009 (ages 10-18) will include instruction on hitting, pitching, fielding, and base running.
Specialty areas will include speed, strength, conditioning, vision and mental skills.

There will be a division of age groups throughout the program. Camp capacity is limited to 150 campers.
You will learn skills from a new perspective with a fresh, dynamic approach to teaching baseball. You will receive quality instruction in baseball skill and technical work, tactics, strategy, and games.

Former Roughrider and current Arizona State University baseball player Kole Calhoun capped off a great individual run at the NCAA College World Series by being named to the World Series All-Tournament Team. In four games, Calhoun was 9 for 16 (.563), hit three home runs, and knocked in 11 runs, with two doubles and five runs scored. ASU was 2-2 in the tournament losing to eventual Runners-up University of Texas Longhorns. The Buckeye native played for Yavapai from 2006-2008.
Former YC baseball players Kyle Blanks and Dusty Brown find themselves on Major League rosters after being called up from Triple A ball this past week.
Blanks(2005) will join the big league club San Diego Padres after a stint at the AAA Portland Beavers. In Portland, the right-hander was hitting .283 with 12 home runs and 38 runs batted in.

Former Roughrider baseball player Kole Calhoun (2006-08), continued his torrid hitting in the NCAA College World Series driving in six runs with a grand slam and double in #5 Arizona State University’s 12-5 win over #4 University of North Carolina Thursday afternoon in Omaha, Nebraska. The loss eliminates the Tar Heels from the double elimination tournament. ASU will play #1 University of Texas Friday afternoon.
