Softball Camp – June & July, 2013

Diamond Club Softball Camps and Clinics

The Yavapai College Softball coaching staff proudly announces our summer clinics! Firs t available will be a three day clinic on June 10-12, 2013 with the morning session as a pitching and catching clinic and the afternoon session as a hitting clinic. Then beginning June 25th our Hitting Club will start with a six week lesson plan to improve your hitting skills! Hitting Club will have two levels of hitting to help enhance your abilities or to get you started from the ground up.

Pitching/Catching Clinic

  • June 10-13, 2013
  • Ages: 8 to 18
  • Time: 8:30 to 12:30
  • Fee: $95 by June 7th
  • Late Registration: $110

Pitchers instruction will include: Fundamentals of form, speed drills, control workouts, and learn to throw new pitches.

Catchers instruction will include: Fundamental skills, blocking, quick release drills, pitch calling, and tag plays.


Hitting Clinic

  • Dates: June 10-13, 2013
  • Ages: 8 to 18
  • Time: 1:30 to 5:30
  • Fee: $95 by June 7th
  • Late Registration: $110

Hitting instruction will include: Fundamentals of form, bat speed drills, hitting moving pitches, and increase hitting power.


Hitting Club

  • Dates: 6/25, 7/2, 7/9, 7/16, 7/23, 7/30
  • Ages: 10 to 18
  • Times:
    • 5:00 to 6:30 Hitting for Power
    • 6:45 to 8:15 Hitting Foundation: (every 1st time club member under 14)

Fee: $110: The fee is for all six hour and half lessons. Only 9 hitters will be allowed to register for each of the sessions. The Foundation session is to develop a quality hitting style to build on. The Power session is for older hitters that need to tweak their swing to develop a more powerful approach at the plate.
