The Roughrider soccer team advanced to the NJCAA Region I Championship Match with a 5-2 victory over Pima Community College (14-6-2) Thursday night in Prescott Valley. YC improves to 20-2-0 on the season, marking the 19th time that a Yavapai team has achieved the 20-win season plateau. Incredibly, Georgia Perimeter College is the team closest to that amazing milestone with five 20-win seasons.

With the victory, Yavapai has recorded 96 playoff victories all-time and improve their overall record to 516-42-18. At home, YC remains unbeaten in 2012 (12-0-0) and owns a 46-0-0 all-time mark at Mountain Valley Park. Daniel Sellitti played all 90 minutes in goal saving three shots to record the victory.
