Yavapai College scored five goals in a 46-minute span for a 5-0 road win Thursday night at Mesa Community College. The victory improves their overall record to 15-0-3 and YC maintains their hold on first place with a 14-0-3 conference mark and three matches remaining in the regular season. In addition, the first goal of the night was the 2200th goal scored in the program’s history, a blast from 30-yards out by Kyle Morris.

YC pitched their fifth shutout of the season and second consecutive. Daniel Sellitti and Agustin Rey shared the duties in goal to record the shutout.

On Saturday, October 15th Yavapai will entertain Gateway Community College. The match will be played at Ken Lindley Field in Prescott. YC blanked the Geckos last month in Phoenix, 5-0. The match will kick-off at 6:00 PM.
