Riders Undefeated In Regular Season
Undefeated regular season for 9th time in program’s history
The Roughrider soccer team concluded the 2011 regular season Saturday afternoon in Glendale with a shutout victory over Glendale Community College (10-9-1), 4-0. Yavapai’s overall record is 18-0-3 and finished the ACCAC season with a 17-0-3 mark and their 22nd ACCAC title.
For the 7th time this season, YC shutout its opponents. Today’s blanking was a combined effort with Daniel Sellitti and Agustin Rey in goal.
With the four goals, Yavapai has a total of 99 goals for the season. The school and national record is 134 held by the 1993 Roughrider team.
After a scoreless first half, Yavapai tied a school record for the quickest goal scored in the 2nd half as Kyle Morris knocked it in 24 seconds into the half. In 2007 YC set the record in a match against Mesa.

YC begins NJCAA Region I playoff action on Wednesday, October 26th. The opponent will be determined on Monday night after the first round of playoffs concludes. Wednesday’s match will be played at Mountain Valley Park in Prescott Valley. Kick-off will be at 6:00 PM. Because it is a Region match, admission will be $5 for adults and $3 for students ages 5 and up.
