Five different players scored a goal in Phoenix Tuesday night to lead the Roughrider soccer squad to a 5-1 victory over Phoenix College (2-2-0). Yavapai improves their league leading record to 4-0-1.

For the second consecutive game, YC led at intermission by a score of 4-0 which enabled the coaching staff to play all of the players on the team including three goalkeepers.

Scoring Summary:

  • Fifth minute – Kyle Morris assisted by Stuart Bryant
  • Sixteenth minute – Julien Dragomir unassisted
  • Twenty-eighth minute – Gouedan Halley assisted by Donovan Rico
  • Fortieth minute – Stuart Bryant unassisted
  • Sixty-ninth minute – Phoenix College
  • Seventieth minute – Rodolfo Godinez assisted by Gouedan Halley

Yavapai takes a break from conference play in their next match as they host Western Wyoming Community College. This will mark the first meeting between the two soccer programs. The match will be played at the Amphitheater (Nace Lane & Robert Road) in Prescott Valley where the Roughriders are 34-0-0 all-time. Kick-off will be at 6:00 PM.
