The Roughrider softball team finished third in the nation after falling to Wallace State Community College, AL Saturday afternoon 8-4 in the NJCAA Division I Fast Pitch Tournament. Former Roughrider Named To World Cup Team...

Roger Espinoza, a member of the 2005 and 2006 Yavapai College soccer teams, was named by Honduras National Team Coach Reinaldo Rueda to the FIFA World Cup Squad. Honduras have been drawn in Group H alongside Chile, Spain and Switzerland. The World Cup runs from June 11 through July 11.

Alan Gordon Gets Top Play Goal for Galaxy...

Former Roughrider soccer standout Alan Gordon scored the game winner for the Los Angeles Galaxy Wednesday evening in a 1-0 win over the Colorado Rapids at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Colorado.

Gordon, who played at Yavapai during the 2000 and 2001, has been with the Galaxy since 2004.

The #15 ranked Roughrider baseball team will open up NJCAA Region I Division I Playoff action on Thursday, May 6th against Cochise College. YC goes into the tournament as the #1 seed and Cochise earned the #4 seed. #2 seed Central Arizona College will host #3 seed South Mountain Community College.
