Volleyball Earns 2 Wins on Day 1 of Dalton Overstreet Invitational

The Yavapai Volleyball squad improved to 7-1 on the season with 2 wins in Walraven Gym on Friday. The Roughriders only dropped 1 set on Day 1 of the Dalton Overstreet Invitational. Roughrider Volleyball Sweeps North Lake in Home Opener

In their home opener of the 2018 season the Yavapai Volleyball team beat North Lake College (TX) 25-11, 25-18, 25-16 for the 3-0 sweep. The Roughrider's passed extremely well which led to an efficient offense. As a team Yavapai hit .256 which is their best hitting percentage of the season so far. For their efforts in the classroom and the playing surface this past year, twenty Yavapai College student-athletes were awarded NJCAA Academic Student-Athlete Awards. On Thursday, Head Coach Zach Shaver announced that the Roughrider volleyball program received it's 5th National Letter of Intent for the 2019 incoming freshmen class.
