20 Student Athletes Earn NJCAA Academic Honors

For their efforts in the classroom and the playing surface this past year, twenty Yavapai College student-athletes were awarded NJCAA Academic Student-Athlete Awards. To qualify for the honor, the student-athlete must have a minimum Grade Point Average of 3.6 or higher for the full academic year. The post-season accolades continue to roll in for members of the Roughrider softball team. Jaydee Boursaw and Makayla Guerra were named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. In the final regular season doubleheader of the 2018 season, the Roughrider softball team scored 41 runs in route to a sweep over Glendale Community College, 20-1 and 21-0.
