For the second consecutive year, Yavapai College midfielder Jose Perez Flores has been named to the United Soccer Coaches Junior College Division One Men’s All-America Team. Volleyball Donates Over $9,500 to Battle Cancer

The 2018 Mile High Battle Against Cancer broke all previous records. The venue for the event was bigger than ever, the number of participating teams grew from 2 to 8, the total number of sponsors grew to 11, and most importantly the amount of money raised by the event almost doubled from 2017 to 2018. On Friday night the Yavapai Volleyball team could not overcome a strong start in set 1 by the Arizona Western squad. The Roughriders could only muster 10 points in the first set. On Wednesday evening the Yavapai College Volleyball squad took on Eastern Arizona College in the NJCAA DI region 1 Semi-Final and came away victorious. Yavapai volleyball finished their ACCAC schedule with a 3-0 victory over Phoenix College. The Roughriders improve their conference record to 8-5 and 17-9 overall. The 2018 Roughrider soccer season ended abruptly Thursday night in Tucson. YC fell to #3 ranked Pima Community College, 1-0, in the semi-finals of the NJCAA Region I Playoffs.
