Soccer Finishes Regular Season with 7-2 Win

The Roughrider soccer team scored 6 second half goals on a hot Thursday afternoon in Scottsdale for a 7-2 victory over Scottsdale Community College. The match was the season finale for both teams. YC finishes the 2017 campaign with a 17-2-3 overall mark and a 15-2-3 ACCAC record. The Artichokes conclude the season with an 8-11-2 record.

Post-Season play begins on Monday, October 23rd. As a result of finishing co-conference champions in the standings, the Green and Gold earned a bye in the first round. Yavapai College will begin NJCAA Region I playoff action as the second seeded team on Wednesday, October 25TH. Yavapai will play the winner of Monday’s Phoenix College-Glendale Community College contest. Wednesday’s match will begin at 6:00 PM at Ken Lindley Field in Prescott.

Because it is a Region match, admission fees will be:

$5.00 for adults
$3.00 for students
6 and under are free
NO PASSES WILL BE HONORED
