Soccer Clinics

Free Soccer Clinic – Saturday, August 13, 2016
(Prescott Valley)

Members of the 2016 Yavapai Soccer Team will be conducting a free soccer clinic at Mountain Valley Park in Prescott Valley on Saturday, August 13. The clinic will be held from 9:00 – 10:30 p.m. Boys and girls ages 5-16 are eligible to participate. No registration is required. If possible, participants should bring their own soccer ball. All participants will receive a special souvenir gift. Come meet the 2016 Soccer Team Members prior to their season opener!

Free Soccer Clinic – Saturday, August 20, 2016 (Prescott)

Members of the 2016 Yavapai Soccer Team will be conducting a free soccer clinic at Ken Lindley Field in Prescott on Saturday, August 20. The clinic will be held from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. Boys and girls ages 5-16 are eligible to participate. No registration is required. If possible, participants should bring their own soccer ball. All participants will receive a special souvenir gift. Come meet the 2016 Soccer Team Members prior to their season opener!

Roughrider Soccer Training Available!

Private goalkeeping training, training for field players and team practice training are available with Yavapai College volunteer assistant soccer coach Emilio Estrada. Estrada, a United States Soccer Federation “A” Licensed Coach and former MLS goalkeeper coach, will begin his fourth season with the Yavapai College Roughrider soccer program this fall.

In addition, long-time YC Associate Coach Hugh Bell is available to assist from a coaching perspective. For individual and team rates and to establish specific training dates and times, call 772-2571 or 776-2241.

Baseball Camps

November 27, 2015 Thanksgiving Pitchers Camp

The Mile High Baseball School Thanksgiving Pitching Camp will include instruction on the 5 PILLIARS OF PITCHING SUCCESS: Picks and PFP, Mechanics, Mental approach, Pitches and Strength, Arm-care & proper Conditioning. It will include a throwing progression, long toss, bullpen work, mechanics, drills, and film breakdown. The camp is for players between the ages of 12 and 18 , Camp capacity is limited to the first 20 campers to sign up. The registration fee is $100.

May 8, 2016 Prospect Camp – Prescott

The annual Prospect Camp’s purpose is to promote exposure to Yavapai College as well as all other ACCAC baseball programs.
Each Junior College from the state of Arizona will be invited to recruit and evaluate talent.
The tryout camp is also geared toward Sophomores and Juniors wishing to get a head start on the recruiting process.
Yavapai College currently has players on its roster from this camp.

June 6-8, 2016 Baseball Day Camp – Prescott

You will learn skills from a new perspective with a fresh, dynamic approach to teaching baseball. You will receive quality instruction in baseball skill and technical work, tactics, strategy, and games.

You will be placed in a group matching age and ability to maximize your learning experience. Instructors will closely monitor your individual needs and develop your skills and initiative so that you may personally grow from this total learning experience.

  • Fee: $75

July 17-20, 2016 Baseball Overnight Camp

You will learn skills from a new perspective with a fresh, dynamic approach to teaching baseball. You will receive quality instruction in baseball skill and technical work, tactics, strategy, and games.

You will be placed in a group matching age and ability to maximize your learning experience. Instructors will closely monitor your individual needs and develop your skills and initiative so that you may personally grow from this total learning experience.

Volleyball Camps

You will learn skills from a new perspective with a fresh, dynamic approach to teaching volleyball. You will receive up to date information and instruction in mechanics, skills, and teamwork.

You will be placed in a group matching age and ability to maximize your learning experience. Instructors will closely monitor your individual needs and develop your skills and initiative so that you may personally grow from this total learning experience.

Camps include professional instruction, evaluation, and a camp T-shirt.

Volleyball Youth Clinic (Grades 1-8) May 31 – June 2, 2016

Will learn the basics of volleyball including; passing, serving, attacking, digging, and blocking. This clinic is designed for beginners and as an introduction to athletic camps..

    • Three (3) Sessions Tu-Th (10:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
    • Fee: $40

Will learn the basics of volleyball including; passing, serving, attacking, digging, and blocking. Also team offensive and defensive strategies. Lunch is included.

Volleyball Elite Camp (Grades 6-12) June 9-11, 2016

Will learn both basic skills and more advanced skills of volleyball including; individual defense, jump serving, being deceptive on offense, floor skills, and how to be a team player.

    • Seven (7) Sessions Th-Sa
    • Day 1- 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Day 2- 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Day 3- 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    • Fee: $200 Commuter / $300 Resident

Pre-Season Camp (Grades 8-12) July 18-20, 2016

This camp will focus on team competition with limited skill instruction to help prepare campers for the upcoming school season.Both individuals and teams are encouraged to attend.

    • Seven (7) Sessions Mo-We (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
    • Fee (Individual): $150 Commuter / $250 Resident
    • Fee (Team = Minimum of 8): $100 per member Commuter / $200 per member Resident

Softball Camp

Prospect Skills Camp – Sunday, October 23, 2016

 
The annual Yavapai College Softball Prospect Skills Camp’s purpose is to promote exposure to Yavapai College as well as all other ACCAC softball programs. Each Junior College from the state of Arizona will be invited, as well as D1, DII and NAIA schools, to recruit and evaluate talent. There will be four All Star teams from this camp to play in showcase games coached by selected college coaches.

The Prospect Skills Camp is also geared toward Freshman, Sophomores and Juniors wishing to get a head start on the recruiting process. Seniors may also attend if uncommitted.

Yavapai College currently has players on its roster from this camp.

Fee is $85 per student/athlete and comes with a FREE T-SHIRT. All Star game is an additional $50 per student/athlete.
