Yavapai College is proud to offer the boys and girls of the community the chance to participate in meaningful and fun athletic activities over the summer months. Please scroll down this page and find something that’s right for someone you know.

August 2010 Soccer Clinics

FREE SOCCER CLINICS FOR BOYS AND GIRLS

Members of the 2010 Yavapai College Soccer Team will conduct three youth soccer clinics from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the following locations:

Chino Valley (Saturday, Aug. 7) Chino Valley High School
Prescott Valley (Saturday, Aug. 14) Mountain Valley Park
Prescott (Saturday, Aug. 21) Ken Lindley Field

Boys and girls ages 5-16 are eligible to participate. No registration is required. If possible, participants should bring their own soccer ball. In addition, a coach’s clinic will take place in conjunction with the player’s clinic. Come meet the 2010 Soccer Team Members prior to their season opener!

Softball Camp Coming 2011

Fundamental Softball Camp- Bill Vallely Field

This camp is for ages 5-12 and will cover fundamentals for softball success such as fielding, hitting, throwing, bunting, and baserunning. It will be held at Bill Vallely softball complex on Monday, June 27- June 30 from 8:30am-11:00am. Cost is $75.

Skills Softball Camp- Bill Vallely Field

This camp is for ages 13-18 and more experienced softball players to help increase their skills. Instruction will be given on team concepts, position play, speed training, and mental enhancement along with hitting, fielding, bunting, and baserunning. It will be held at Bill Vallely softball complex on Monday July 4-6 from 9am-12pm. Cost is $75.

Ages for camps are negotiable. Please contact with questions

Both camps include 9 hrs of instruction plus a camp T-shirt!

Please bring your softball equipment and a bottle of water.

May 15, 2011 Senior / Junior Tryout Camp – Prescott

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce our senior/ junior tryout camp on May 15th 2011, pitchers and catchers will work out from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm (Registration beginning at 9:15), all other position players will work out from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm (Registration beginning at 12:00). This year we will be inviting every junior college program in Arizona to attend and evaluate your players. Yavapai College currently has players on our roster from this camp.

To make this camp accessible to everyone, there will be a nominal fee of $40.00. Fee includes insurance and showcase. Enclosed please find our registration form. If more than one of your players wishes to attend, feel free to make copies of the form.

If sophomores would like to get a head start on the recruiting process, they are more than welcome to attend.

You will learn skills from a new perspective with a fresh, dynamic approach to teaching baseball. You will receive quality instruction in baseball skill and technical work, tactics, strategy, and games.

You will be placed in a group matching age and ability to maximize your learning experience. Instructors will closely monitor your individual needs and develop your skills and initiative so that you may personally grow from this total learning experience.

July 24-27, 2011 Baseball Overnight Camp

Volleyball Camp – Coming 2011

The Yavapai College Roughrider Volleyball Camp is limited to ages 5-12. The camp is directed by YC Head Coach Matt Cohen. Registration fee for the camp is $75 per person. The fee includes professional instruction, evaluation, medical and dental insurance, t-shirts and other sport-related items.

Basketball Camp – June 13-16, 2011

The Yavapai College Roughrider Basketball Camp is limited to ages 5-12. The camp is directed by YC Head Coaches Brad Clifford and Eric Fundalewicz. Registration fee for the camp is $75 per person. The fee includes professional instruction, evaluation, medical and dental insurance, t-shirts and other sport-related items. 8:30 AM – 11:00 AM.
