Basketball Style of Play

  • Offensively - up-tempo, confined free-lance to allow you to showcase your talents
  • Defensively - pressure full and half court, mainly man-to-man with an occasional zone

  • 9 WBCA All-Americans
  • 27 All-ACCAC players
  • 13 All-Region I players
  • Every season over 20 wins
  • Every season has made the playoffs
  • 14 players have gone on to play Division I basketball (the last 3 yrs. 7 players)
  • 19 players have gone on to play Division II basketball
  • Scholarships are offered and may consist of tuition, room, board, fees, and equipment.

Athletic Facilities

  • Weight room - newly renovated with all of the equipment needed for our success
  • Training room - newly renovated with the latest medical equipment needed for your treatment if injured. We have 2 trainers on staff who are excellent in getting you back as soon as possible.
  • Team room - newly renovated with lockers, bathroom, cable tv, etc.

Academics

We have a student to faculty ratio of 20:1, which allows our professor's to know you personally and help you do the best possible.

Counselors and academic advisors are available to all of our students. The athletic teams have their own academic advisor to help you make sure you are taking the classes necessary for your success not only here but at the next level.

There are mandatory study hall for all of our players, usually twice a week.

We personally do frequent grade checks with your professors throughout the semester to not only make sure you are doing well but to catch any problems you may have as soon as possible.

Free tutoring is available to all students at Yavapai College.

Living Facilities

There are 3 on-campus residence halls. All of the rooms have there own bathroom with shower and toilet. Internet ready, cable ready, and local phone service.

There is an on-campus dining hall that serves fresh food throughout most of the day.
