Former Roughrider catcher Nolan Clark signed a free-agent professional contract with the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday. At the time, Clark was playing for the Eau Claire Express and was leading the team with a .333 batting average and was named to the Northwoods League South Division All-Star team.
On Wednesday, the NJCAA announced the 2011 Division I Baseball All-America Teams. From Yavapai, sophomore catcher Nolan Clark was named to the third team for his efforts this past season.

The Roughrider baseball team split an ACCAC road doubleheader Saturday afternoon with Mesa Community College (20-7, 8-7). Mesa won the first game 3-0 and in dramatic fashion, YC won the second game 8-6. Yavapai is now 19-9 overall and 10-4 in conference action.
