Doyle, Hermanson, Clifford Named All-ACCAC/Region

As voted on by the ACCAC coaches Sunday, YC baseball players Luke Doyle, Andrew Hermanson and Brody Clifford were named to the ACCAC/NJCAA All-Region I teams. All three players are freshmen.

Doyle was voted to the First Team and Hermanson and Clifford were voted to the Second Team.

Doyle finished the regular season with a .369 batting average, 5th in the conference. The Deer Valley High School product also finished the year with 6 home runs which ranks him 5th in the ACCAC. He also finished with 18 doubles (4th in the ACCAC), 65 hits (7th in the ACCAC) and 34 RBI’s (10th in the ACCAC).

Hermanson hit at a .346 batting average. The California native led the league in doubles (23) and 66 hits (6th in the ACCAC),

Clifford hit .324 with 21 doubles (2nd in the ACCAC) and 31 RBI’s. The Bradshaw Mountain High School product also finished with a .987 fielding percentage.

Yavapai concluded the 2014 season with a 26-25 overall record and a 15-21 conference mark.
