The Roughrider baseball team dropped their fifth consecutive game Monday afternoon at Roughrider Park at the hands of Scottsdale Community College, 16-6. Yavapai falls to 4-6 overall and 0-3 in ACCAC action. Scottsdale improves to 7-4 on the year and 2-1 in conference play.

YC dug themselves a hole early as the Artichokes posted 5 runs in the opening inning. YC got on the board in the 2nd inning with a single run and added three more in the third inning to make the score 6-4. However, Scottsdale crossed the plate three more times in their half of the fourth inning and four runs in the eighth and three in the ninth to steal the road victory.

These same two teams will meet again on Tuesday in Scottsdale for a single nine-inning game. The first pitch will be thrown at 2:00 PM. YC will return to the friendly confines of Roughrider Park on Wednesday as they entertain Thompson Rivers University, Canada. The doubleheader will start at 12:00 PM.
