The #4 ranked Roughrider soccer team defeated Paradise Valley Community College, 8-0, Wednesday afternoon in Phoenix. YC advances their overall record to 14-0-2 and 13-0-2 in conference play. Paradise Valley falls to 3-11-0 on the year.

The trio of Roughrider goalkeepers combined for the shutout this afternoon: Bradley Trella (30 minutes, 1 save); Daniel Diaz (30 minutes, 1 save); McKay Owsley (30 minutes, 2 saves).

On Saturday, October 12th the Roughriders play at #5 Phoenix College. The match will start at 7:00 PM. YC beat the Bears last month 2-1.

Milestones: The 7th goal of the match, scored by Josiah Pacheco, was the 2400th goal in the program’s history…YC only committed 3 fouls tying a school record for least fouls committed in a game. The Roughriders had only three fouls in a 2-1 win over Tyler Junior College in a 2006 regular season match.
