n the regular season finale Saturday night, Yavapai College defeated South Mountain Community College, 6-1, at Ken Lindley Field in Prescott. YC finishes the regular season with a 16-2-3 record. Additionally, the evening marked the 599th match in the history of the Roughrider soccer program and will play their 600th match on Wednesday, October 30th in the NJCAA Playoffs. That game will also mark the 600th consecutive match that Head Coach Mike Pantalione has coached representing Roughrider soccer.

For the Roughriders, six different Roughrider players scored Saturday night in the final tune-up for the post season.

YC will host an NJCAA Region I Semi-Final match on Wednesday, October 30th against an opponent yet to be determined. This match will mark the 25th consecutive post-season appearance for the Roughriders. In that span, YC has won 97 single-elimination playoff matches. Wednesday night’s match will be played at Ken Lindley Field and will begin at 6:00 PM.

Because it is an NJCAA sanctioned event, the admission fees will be:

  • $5 for adults
  • $3 for students with ID
  • Free for 6 years of age and under
