Former Roughrider In The FA Cup Final

Former Yavapai College soccer player Roger Espinoza will be representing Wigan Athletic in the Football Association Cup Final against Manchester City on Saturday, May 11. The match will kick-off at 9:15 a.m. (Arizona Time) at Wembley Stadium in London, England and televised live on FOX.

Espinoza played for the Roughriders in 2005 and 2006 before moving on to Ohio State University. The NJCAA Hall of Famer is a member of the Honduras National Team and played in the most recent World Cup. He also played for Sporting Kansas City in Major League Soccer from 2008 to 2012.

The FA Cup is a knockout cup competition in English Football and is the oldest association football competition in the world dating back to 1871. Both Wigan Athletic and Manchester City play in the English Premier League (EPL).
