The trip to Coolidge is long enough but the results of the men’s and women’s basketball games made the trip even longer. Tuesday night, both hoops teams fell to Central Arizona College in the final regular season road game of the year. The women were crushed 94-65 and the men lost 80-64.

For the third time this season, Kayla Williams was named the ACCAC Player of the Week. The Seattle native, scored 20 points and pulled down 6 rebounds in a win over Scottsdale. Williams, then scored 28 points and had 10 rebounds, in the Roughriders’ win over Phoenix.

Head softball coach Stacy Iveson has announced the signing of nine recruits for the 2012 season. At the end of this season, YC will lose eight sophomores to graduation. “I am very excited about the talent and experience in our 2011 signing class”, said Iveson.
