Softball All-Americans...

Post-season awards continue to roll in for the 2010 Roughrider softball team as four members of the squad were named National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Americans.

Named to the 2nd Team was: Freshman third baseman Danielle Muniz; freshman centerfielder Brittany Keiser and sophomore

Former Roughrider Nominated For ESPY...

Former Roughrider softball player Jenna Rodriguez and her current team, the University of Hawaii, have been nominated for an ESPY under the category of THE BEST UPSET award for 2010. To garner the nomination, Rodriguez hit a walk-off home run to upset the then #1 ranked University of Alabama Crimson

Espinoza Starts In World Cup Match...

Roger Espinoza is the third Roughrider Soccer player to start in a FIFA World Cup match when the former Yavapai midfielder played 90 minutes for Honduras against Chile in South Africa Wednesday. Volleyball Announces 2010 Schedule...

Yavapai College head volleyball coach Matt Cohen has announced the Roughriders’ 2010 season schedule, a slate that includes thirteen matches against teams that were ranked among the top 20 in that nation in 2009.

The Riders’ will get its season underway with the Lamar Invitational.

Roughrider Draftees Continued...

On the second day of the Major League Baseball Draft, five former and current Roughriders were selected by professional teams.

Pitcher Merrill Kelly was chosen by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 8th round. Outfielder Kole Calhoun was also selected in the 8th round by the Los Angeles Angels. Both

Tidwell Named All-American...

The accolades continue to roll in for sophomore outfielder DeMarcus Tidwell as he was named NJCAA Division I Honorable Mention for his efforts this past season. Following the season, the speedy Tidwell was honored by the conference and region by being named 1st Team All-ACCAC and 1st Team All-Region

Keiser Named All-American...

Freshman outfielder Brittany Keiser was named NJCAA Second Team All-American Wednesday afternoon. The Vail, Arizona native helped guide the Roughriders to their second consecutive NJCAA Division I Region I Championship and a Third Place finish at the NJCAA National Tournament.
