Volleyball Announces 2010 Schedule

Yavapai College head volleyball coach Matt Cohen has announced the Roughriders' 2010 season schedule, a slate that includes thirteen matches against teams that were ranked among the top 20 in that nation in 2009. Hess To Move On

Former Roughrider volleyball player Jennifer Hess has signed an NAIA National Letter Intent to play for University of Great Falls, MT. She will enroll in the Fall of 2010. This past season Hess hit .263 scoring 240.5 points on 158 kills, 60.5 blocks, and 22 aces. As a freshmen in 2007 she scored 255 points on 187 kills, 43 blocks, and 25 aces. ...

YC Women’s Volleyball Announces 2010 Spring Schedule

Roughriders will compete in two NCAA Spring tournaments and scrimmage an NCAA Division 1 and NCAA Division 2 team. The spring season kicks off Monday, February 22nd in Phoenix, AZ at Grand Canyon University, an NCAA Division 2 member. The Roughriders will scrimmage GCU at 10 AM. Volleyball Falls In Finals

The Roughrider volleyball season came to a halt Friday night in the NJCAA Region I Division I Championship Match in Thatcher against Eastern Arizona College. EAC beat Yavapai 3-0 (25-20, 25-14, 25-19) to advance in the post-season play-offs. Yavapai concludes the season with a 26-15 record, their best season since 1996. The Lady Rider volleyball team won their final regular season match Tuesday evening over cross-town foe Embry Riddle Aeronautical University 3-2 (23-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-14, 15-10). Yavapai improves to 26-14 overall in preparation for the NJCAA Region I Division I Playoffs.
