Softball Improves to 4-0

An outstanding effort by Dustie Durham led the Roughrider Softball to an 8-7 win in eight innings over Western Nevada College on Saturday morning. Durham blasted two home runs for YC. Softball Starts Season 3-0 Against Ranked Teams

The unranked Roughrider softball team knocked off a pair of ranked teams Friday in their opening day of the 2016 season. YC began the day with an 11-1 victory over El Paso Community College and then knocked off #5 Salt Lake Community College, 4-3 in eight innings. Fall 2015 Athletic Director Honor Roll Announced

The Yavapai College Student-Athletes had another successful effort in the classroom this past Fall semester. Forty-four student-athletes were recognized as members of the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll honoring those student-athletes that received a grade point average of a 3.0 or higher for the Fall semester. For the fifth time this season, a Yavapai College softball player has been named the ACCAC Division I Player of the Week. For her efforts last week, Jocilynn Ellis was named the conference POW.
