Roughriders Fall to the Bears

The Roughrider softball team dropped a doubleheader Tuesday afternoon in Phoenix to Phoenix College, 10-0 and 6-2. Yavapai is now 28-9 overall and 20-6 in ACCAC action. The Roughrider softball team swept their third consecutive doubleheader Saturday afternoon at Bill Vallely Field over the Cougars from South Mountain Community College, 15-0 and 9-4. Softball Earns ACCAC Accolades

For their efforts last week, Jaya Allen and Makayla Guerra were named ACCAC Division I Pitcher of the Week and Player of the Week respectively. This marks the third time this season that Allen has earned the award. Allen recorded wins over Scottsdale and Eastern, both shutouts. She struck out 16 batters and allowed just 1 hit in each game.
