Yavapai Blasts 14 Runs in 2 Games

The Roughrider baseball team split a pair of games Friday afternoon at the Coyote Slugout in Henderson, Nevada. YC fell to Salt Lake Community College, 4-2 in the opener and whipped Okanagan University in the nightcap, 12-4. YC is now 4-4 on the season. Roughriders Sweep Double Header in Glendale

The Roughrider baseball team swept a non-conference doubleheader Tuesday afternoon over Glendale Community College, 8-3 and 8-5. Yavapai is now 3-3 on the year. The Yavapai College Roughriders fell 12-11 to Southern Idaho on Saturday despite racking up 10 hits and 11 runs. Nate Easley racked up three RBIs on two hits for YC. The Yavapai College Roughriders baseball team lost 15-7 to Salt Lake Community College Saturday despite Nate Easley's three-hit day at the dish. Baseball Signs 13 for 2017

The Yavapai College Roughrider baseball program has signed 13 players to the 2017 recruiting class. Seven arms make up the majority and will replenish a sophomore heavy 2016 pitching staff. Fall 2015 Athletic Director Honor Roll Announced

The Yavapai College Student-Athletes had another successful effort in the classroom this past Fall semester. Roughrider baseball head coach Ryan Cougill was named as the ABCA/Diamond Western Region Coach of the Year for NJCAA DI. Cougill earned the honor after leading the Roughriders to 45-18 record and a trip to the NJCAA World Series.
