Roughriders Ink the Final Two For Their 2017 Freshman Class

The 2017 freshmen class for Yavapai Volleyball has grown to 6. Recently the Roughriders signed 5'11" middle blocker Makenna Busse and 5'9" outside hitter Emma Moody. The 2017 season for the Roughrider softball team came to an abrupt halt on Saturday morning in an elimination game of the NJCAA Region I Division I Tournament. Softball Remains in the Hunt for a District Championship

The Roughrider softball team went 1-1 on the first day of NJCAA Region I Tournament play. YC began the day falling to Eastern Arizona College, 13-3 and concluded the day with a 10-0 victory over Pima Community College in an elimination game. 7 Softball Players Earn Honors Including Player and Pitcher of the Year

The Roughrider softball team dominated the conference post-season awards as voted on the coaches. YC placed seven players on the ACCAC All-Conference and NJCAA All-Region Teams. Jaydee Boursaw was named the ACCAC Player of the Year and Kianna Spencer earned the ACCAC Pitcher of the Year.
