Roughrider Named to Soccer Coaches Association All-America Team
For the second consecutive year, Yavapai College midfielder Jose Perez Flores has been named to the United Soccer Coaches Junior College Division One Men’s All-America Team. The sophomore from McMinnville, Oregon is the all-time leader in assists for the Roughriders with 38. He also tallied 30 goals in his Yavapai career. Last year, Perez Flores was the only freshmen in the country named to the All-America Team. This marks the 63rd All-American award for the Yavapai College soccer 30-year program.
Founded in 1941 and based in Kansas City, Missouri, the United Soccer Coaches (formerly the National Soccer Coaches Association of America) has grown into the world’s largest soccer coaches’ organization. The annual All-American luncheon will take place in conjunction with the association’s national convention in Chicago on January 19, 2019.
