Roughriders Score 12 Goals in Dominating Performance

The Yavapai College soccer team scored 12 goals in a 61-minute span for a 12-0 victory over Paradise Valley Community College Saturday night in Prescott Valley. The shutout is the seventh clean sheet of the season and the 355th all-time for the Riders. Yavapai improves their overall record to 12-1-2 and their league leading mark to 10-1-2. Paradise Valley falls to 3-10-0 on the year.

In a battle for first place, Yavapai College will host Pima Community College on Tuesday, October 3rd. Pima beat Phoenix College Saturday night, 3-0. On September 1st, both teams played to a 1-1 tie in Tucson. The Roughriders have beat the Aztecs 60 times in their storied career, the most victories against any one team. Tuesday’s match will begin at 6:00 PM at Mountain Valley Park in Prescott Valley.
