It took extra innings but the Roughriders came out victorious in the opening game. Rez Aleaziz was exceptional on mound throwing seven innings of shutout ball. The sophomore righthander scattered 3 hits and struck out 7 batters.

Yavapai scored the lone run on the game in their half of the eighth inning when Caden Goldby began the inning with a walk and scored on a double by Cory Wills.

Wills led the Riders from the dish going 2 for 3.

In the nightcap, the YC defense committed 5 errors and managed only 5 hits. Avery Weems took the loss allowing only 3 earned runs while striking out 7.

Jaxxon Fagg was 2 for 3 for the offense.
