The Roughrider baseball team split a conference doubleheader Saturday at Roughrider Park with Central Arizona College. YC won the first game 6-2 and dropped the second game, 10-4. Yavapai is now 12-10 overall and 1-5 in conference play.

Reza Aleaziz earned the win for the Roughriders. He threw five innings, allowing one run, two hits, and striking out six. Andrew Gross recorded the last six outs to earn the save.

Offensively, the home team had ten hits in the game. Cory Wills, Jonathan Villa, and Jeddediah Fagg each collected multiple hits. Wills led the Riders with three hits in four at bats.

IN the second game, YC could not hold an early lead. Yavapai scored on a double by Cory Wills chasing Carlos Viera home. It would be the only lead in the game for the Roughriders.
