Soccer Moves Into 1st Place With 2-1 Victory

The Roughrider soccer team claimed sole possession of first place in the ACCAC with a 2-1 victory over Arizona Western College Tuesday afternoon in Yuma. Yavapai advances their overall record to 17-2-0 and 16-2-0 in the conference standings. The loss is the first for the Matadors on the year dropping them to 14-1-3. YC is now 50-5-2 all-time against Arizona Western.

The Roughriders will play their final two games of the 2016 regular season at home beginning on Thursday, October 20th at Mountain Valley Park in Prescott Valley against Scottsdale Community College. Last month, the Green and Gold beat the Artichokes 3-2. Yavapai has their final game of the season on Saturday, October 22nd at Ken Lindley Field in Prescott against the Matadors of Arizona Western College. Both matches will begin at 6:00 PM.
