Volleyball Stumbles on the Road in Glendale

The Roughriders traveled south to Glendale to take on the Gauchos who are currently ranked #2 in NJCAA DII. Unfortunately Yavapai did not return to Prescott with a win. The final scores were 20-25, 25-22, 17-25, 19-25. Glendale out hit Yavapai .232 to .133.

Jailynn & Anderson vs. ERAU 1A bright spot for the Roughriders was freshman middle blocker Bailey Anderson who accumulated 6 kills on 16 attempts with 0 errors for a percentage of .375. Also making significant contributions from the freshman class were outside hitter Jailynn Butler and libero Hannah Semon. Butler banged out 6 kills with a hitting percentage of .235 and Semon collected 15 digs. Freshman right side hitter Kaytlin Yost had a double / double with 14 kills and 16 digs. Sophomore setter Jordan Tilley also earned a double / double with 30 assists and 16 digs.

The next challenge for the Roughriders comes at home as the Matadors of Arizona Western come to down for back to back matches on Friday (7:00 pm) and Saturday (3:00 pm).
