Volleyball Drops a Heartbreaker in Idaho

The Yavapai volleyball team had a good chance to earn a split in their matches on Saturday but unfortunately they let a victory slip away from them as thye dropped a 5 set match to Utah State University – Eastern. The Roughriders started off their 2nd day of the Star Invitational with a 0-3 loss to #12 ranked Northwest College (18-25, 21-25, 19-25).

In the evening match Yavapai went up against Utah State University – Eastern whom they had beaten 3-1 while in Las Vegas 2 weeks prior. The match was close throughout with each team trading 2 point victories in the first 2 sets (26-24, 23-25). Set 3 was Yavapai’s best offensive output, even though they hit .270 they fell 21-25.
