Soccer Cruises to a Victory Scoring 7 Goals

The Yavapai College soccer team scored a season high seven goals Thursday night against South Mountain Community College in a 7-3 Prescott home opener at Ken Lindley Field. The Roughriders improve their overall record to 4-1-1 and their ACCAC mark at 4-1-1. South Mountain falls to 1-5-0 on the year and in conference play. With the victory, Yavapai is now 226-11-2 all-time at the historic venue in Prescott.

YC takes a break from conference play for their next match as they entertain College of the Desert from Palm Desert, California on Saturday, September 10th at Ken Lindley Field beginning at 6:00 PM. Yavapai returns to league action at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 13th at Rose Mofford Park in Phoenix against Gateway Community College. Yavapai captured their 7th national championship in 2008 at this site.
