Volleyball Continues Their Winning Ways at Home

On day 1 of the Roughrider Invitational Yavapai Volleyball won 6 sets and only dropped 1 in their 2 wins. It was a complete team effort both offensively and defensively. Yavapai first defeated College of Southern Nevada 3-1 (Box Score)then closed out the night with a 3-0 (Box Score)win over Colorado Northwestern CC.

2016 Volleyball 9.2 The Roughriders totaled 110 digs (15.71 per set) and 20 total blocks (2.86 per set). Freshman libero Hannah Semon was the team leader in digs with 30. Sophomore setter Jordan Tilley chipped in 20 digs to go along with her 63 assists.

The Roughriders improved their overall record to 6-2 and will look to continue their winning streak (6) on Saturday as the take on New Mexico Military Institute at 4:00 pm. Admission is free for the Roughrider Invitational.
