Baseball Signs 13 for 2017

The Yavapai College Roughrider baseball program has signed 13 players to the 2017 recruiting class.

Seven arms make up the majority and will replenish a sophomore heavy 2016 pitching staff. Cougill’s staff also added two infielders, three outfielders and a catcher. The class includes eight players from the state of Arizona, two from Nevada, one from Hawaii, Oregon and Puerto Rico.

“This is Coach Wise and Coach Dawson’s first recruiting class together and they’ve done a tremendous job. They have focused their efforts on adding student-athletes that will be ready to contribute as freshman in college. The players come from good programs where they’re used to winning and they complement our returning roster well. As in years past, our efforts continue as we build relationships with players and they continue to see the value in their education at Yavapai College and the expectations that are a part of our program. I welcome our 2017 class to the Roughrider family and congratulate Coach Dawson and Coach Wise on their efforts.”
