YC soccer score five first half goals in shutout win over Mesa

The #1 nationally ranked Roughrider soccer team scored five first half goals Tuesday night to propel them a 5-0 victory over Mesa Community College in Prescott Valley. YC improves their overall record to 12-1-1 and 10-1-1 in ACCAC action. Mesa falls to 6-7-0. Yavapai is now 50-4-2 all-time against the Thunderbirds.

It was a combined effort for the Roughriders 7th shutout of the season. Greg Patenaude and Coltin Smith shared the goalkeeping duties.

Yavapai continues this home stand on Thursday, October 1st when they host Chandler-Gilbert Community College. The match will be played at Mountain Valley Park in Prescott Valley beginning at 6:00 PM.
