Roughriders Leave Yuma with an Overtime Victory

2015 6The Roughrider soccer team bounced back and won a hard-fought 3-2 overtime victory Monday night in Yuma over Arizona Western College. Yavapai is now 5-1-0 overall and 4-1-0 in ACCAC action. AWC falls to 3-2-0 overall and in conference play. Yavapai is now 49-4-2 all-time against the Matadors.

Out of the 48 losses in YC soccer history, only once did they have two consecutive losses. Yavapai owns 47 one-game losing streaks.

Yavapai returns home for their next two matches beginning Thursday as they entertain the Pumas from Paradise Valley Community College. The match will be played at Ken Lindley Field in Prescott beginning at 6:00 PM. On Saturday, Yavapai takes a break from conference play as they host College of the Desert, CA. The match will takes place at Mountain Valley Park in Prescott Valley with kick-off at 6:00 PM.
