The Roughriders run their record to 14-5 overall and 5-4 in the ACCAC. Arizona Western is now 13-9 on the year and 6-4 in league play.

In the opener, Yavapai broke a 1-1 tie with a four-run sixth inning and Jake Koltermann went the distance for his 2nd victory of the year.

In their half of the sixth inning, the Roughriders loaded the bases on a single by Willie Calhoun, a walk by Luke Doyle and a single by Andrew Hermanson. Alexis Olmeda hit a sacrifice fly to break the tie and Alexis Cruz hit a three-run home run to finish the scoring for the game.

Calhoun was 2 for 4 on the day with a single and a home run and Hermanson went 2 for 3 with a run scored.

In the second game, the Matador scored in each of the first three innings to stake a 4-0 lead. Yavapi put two runs on the board in their half of the sixth. However, that was the only scoring that the Roughrider could muster in the nine-inning game.
