Yavapai Soccer Alone in 1st Place

11 - Zach Yeager 01 - Bob VerschoorThe Roughrider soccer team move into sole possession of first place in the ACCAC with an 8-0 victory over Paradise Valley Community College Thursday in Phoenix. Yavapai improves their record to 6-0-0 overall and 6-0-0 in ACCAC play. Paradise Valley falls to 1-5-0 on the year. The match was played at Reach 11 Sports Complex on the artificial turf pitch where the temperature at game time was 99 degrees. That marks only the 13th time that a YC team has played on an artificial surface.

Bradley Trella and Gregory Patenaude combined in goal for the the Roughriders 5th shutout of the season and 321st all-time. Yavapai now owns a 34-1 goal differential for the season.

Yavapai has their Ken Lindley Field (Prescott) home opener on Friday hosting the College of the Desert from Palm Desert, California and then on Saturday the Roughriders entertain #11 ranked Dakota County Technical College of Rosemount, Minnesota. Kickoff for all home games take place at 6:00 p.m.
