Volleyball Struggles Against Western Arizona

NMMI KK Blocking 1Yavapai dropped 3 straight sets to Arizona Western in their home ACCAC opener. The Matadors won by scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-22. Arizona Western out hit Yavapai .216 to .120. Serve receive passing was a struggle for Yavapai all night including 5 reception errors. Yavapai was only able to accumulate 27 kils compared to 42 for Arizona Western.

Kelsey Park chipped in 8 kills while Braxton Fenter and Amanda Eno both contributed 5 each. Kendy Klump led the team in hitting percentage with .375 (3 kills, 0 errors, on 8 attempts).

The Roughriders return to action on Friday September 19th when the Gila Monsters of Eastern Arizona come to town at 7:00 pm.
