FORMER ROUGHRIDER GREAT RETURNS TO LOS ANGELES
The Los Angeles Galaxy have acquired forward Alan Gordon from the San Jose Earthquakes and it has paid dividends already as the former Yavapai College All-American blasted home a shot from close range to level thing up in the Galaxy 4-3 win over the Colorado Rapids on Wednesday night.
Gordan, originally drafted by the Galaxy in the 2004 Major League Soccer Super Draft, has logged 180 appearances while scoring 39 goals and adding 26 assists during his 11 years in Major League Soccer. Gordon played for Yavapai in 2000 and 2001 accounting for 102 points, including 38 goals. He moved on to Oregon State University after his playing days with the Roughriders. In addition, he has played for the United States National Team and is a member of the NJCAA Soccer Hall of Fame.
