Former Roughrider scores MLS game winner in final minute
Former Roughrider Justin Meram scored in the final minute of second half stoppage time to lift the Columbus Crew to a 2-1 road win over the Seattle Sounders this past weekend in Major League Soccer action.
Meram played on the 2007 and 2008 Yavapai College National Championship teams scoring 51 goals in his two-year career and is the all-time points leader with 132. Following Yavapai College, Meram moved on to the University of Michigan leading them to the Final Four his senior year. After his final collegiate year, Meram was drafted by the Crew, his only team of his professional career.
