Baseball Pounds The Twins

The Roughrider baseball team pounded the North Shore Twins, 12-1, Monday afternoon in a non-conference affair at Roughrider Park. In the past two games, YC has scored 24 runs compared to 2 for their opponents. YC improves their overall record to 28-5.

Stephen Carbajal who went 3 for 4 with two runs scored and two runs batted in led YC. Kamalu Kamoku was 2 for 2 with two runs batted. Drew Turbin was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s and Tim Arakawa was 2 for 4. Krysthian Leal also had 2 RBI’s.

Tyrell King got his first victory of the year scattering 3 hits and striking out 6.

Yavapai resumes conference play on Tuesday at Paradise Valley Community College (13-19, 9-9). The doubleheader will start at 12:00 PM.
