Vaqueros Lasso Riders

The Roughrider softball team dropped a doubleheader Saturday afternoon to #4 ranked Central Arizona College, 9-1 and 9-0. YC is now 21-14 overall and 17-11 in ACCAC play. Central Arizona improves to 27-4 on the year and 21-3 in conference action.

In the opener, Brooke Eifert-Pancamo provided the only offense for the Riders with a solo home run in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Aundria Zuniga-Romero took the loss surrendering all 9 runs on 9 hits.

In the nightcap, the Roughrider hitting went dormant with Sam Wilson getting the only hit in the game. Sarah Thompson took the loss giving up 9 runs on 8 hits.

Yavapai continues conference play on Tuesday, March 26th entertaining the Gila Monsters from Eastern Arizona College. The doubleheader will start at 12:00 PM.
