Spikers Finish 4-1 At Tourney

The Roughrider volleyball team split a pair of matches Saturday to finish the Scottsdale Community College Tournament with an impressive 4-1 record. YC dropped their first match of the day to Phoenix College, 0-2 (17-25, 19-25) and beat Glendale Community College in the finale, 2-0 (25-10, 25-21). Yavapai is now 10-3 on the season and remain at 2-2 in the ACCAC.

In the opening match, Natalie Fahey had 7 kills and Becca Long had 19 assists and 7 digs. In the nightcap, Hannah Hill and MacKenzie Hamilton each had 7 kills. Long had 20 assists and 2 aces. Jasmine Solley added 6 digs.

YC continues their break from ACCAC action with a West coast swing playing Cuyamaca College on Thursday in Rancho San Diego and Imperial Valley College on Friday. On Saturday, the lady spikers will participate in the Imperial Valley College Tournament. Yavapai returns to Walraven Gym on Wednesday, September 19th entertaining Mesa Community College.
